What is this My Kokkola about?
My Kokkola has been developed with European Union funding as the City of Kokkola’s subproject in the Talent Coastline Employment project. My Kokkola – a digital relocation service – is one of the Talent Coastline Employment project’s measures designed to help global talent settle and find employment in the area. On this website, we have put together information that can help you and your family settle in Kokkola.
This website refers to global talent. By this we mean anyone who feels they need support and help in integrating into this society. We consider everyone who is already here and everyone who will move here, for whatever reason, to be amongst the current and future talent. Here in Kokkola, every resident is valued.
My Kokkola’s content was created together with experts by experience in workshops in 2021, and we welcome all feedback and improvement ideas. The Talent Coastline Ecosystem
Talent Coastline is an ecosystem formed by a number of operators. Our shared goal is to maintain the vitality of Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia and Finland going forward.
Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia have a good employment situation and growing businesses. Therefore, the regions will need workers. New immigrants, those who already live here or international talent recruited from abroad.
Talent Coastline Employment project
The Talent Coastline Employment project, funded by the European Social Fund, was launched as a response to the needs described above. As part of it, we have been promoting the relocation of global talent and enhancing services that boost employment in Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia.
The TCE project is coordinated by the City of Vaasa, and other operators include the City of Kokkola, the University of Vaasa language centre Linginno, YA – Vocational College of Ostrobothnia and Vamia. The subprojects’ output will also feature in My Kokkola’s content.
